Ditty Days

Ditty Days, a Massachusetts corporation and 501 (c) 3 non-profit, is a grassroots start-up organization. It began five years ago when Helen Mulry began volunteering at the County Road Children’s Center in Ipswich, MA. Her vision was, and is, to awaken and nurture the natural curiosity and creativity of young children by introducing them to “Nature in the Garden”. During this time, she has developed a variety of successful interactive programs that have excited and encouraged the day care’s children. It starts out as a walk and becomes a journey for a lifetime.

Currently working with 35 children at the Children’s Center, our intent is to expand the program to reach Head Start programs in Ipswich and Gloucester and provide a curriculum which enables staff members to teach their children about the world of nature. We hope to broaden this program to reach many more preschools throughout our area. All materials are available to parents as well as teachers.
